Hi,

I have half yearlies in a week. I have four exams in one week and 3 exams the week after. I am getting really overwhelmed and stressed in terms of how to cover all the content and get all my prep done. It is a lot of work and I don't know how to get all of it done so I can do well in these exams. Could I please receive tips on how to cover the content and my prep as fast as possible? All of them are very content heavy (Legal, Eco and English, Maths and Bio, ENG 1 and Maths 1 and Maths 2 unit)

Thanks,
Kriti

Ouch, that does seem lile quite a heavy workload indeed!
My advice would be to pioritise the ones you feel weakest in, to get those up to scratch then work on your stronger ones.
Also some people might tend to get caught up with studying for one exam, try to vary it so that you cover all your subjects fairly well, not just the first one or two.
For eco, english and legal (and bio as well?);  dont write any essays; it'll take to long with the time you have, just stick to essay plans to figure out how to adapt to different questions.

Finally, my last piece of advice is DONT STRESS TOO MUCH. Of course you want to do your best in these exams but they aren't the be all and end all of your HSC, so don't burn yourself out on them trying to memorise everything. It won't hurt you if you flunk one or two; the HSC is full of stories about 90+ ATAR people who flunked their half yearlies!
So give it your all, but also don't stress and take breaks. You got this
Good luck!!  ;D
"Live life like a pineapple. Stand tall, wear a crown and be sweet on the inside"

"May you grow up to be righteous; may you grow up to be true. May you always know the truth and see the lights surrounding you. May you always be courageous, stand upright and be strong"

"Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire"

Hi!

First, create a schedule or to-do list! Having a bit of organisation makes you feel like you have your study in order, and this way, you'll feel like you have a bit of your life in order hahaha. Since you seem a little short on time, just pick out things you know you're not as confident at. E.g. maths, focus more on topics/questions you're struggling with (still practice everything else!) going through past papers and picking out questions is a good way to go. It's the same with other subjects (can't speak for bio or eco), but pick out things you don't feel as confident in, and focus on them a bit more. If worse comes to worse, cram lol it's not the best option, but at least you have that peace of mind knowing that you've done something.

Have you looked at any of your school's past papers? Identifying trends can help you predict how they may ask questions and give you a good grasp of what they may ask. :-)

Stay chill, doing crap in half yearlies doesn't guarantee you'll do badly the rest of the year - I flunked all my half yearlies (like, real bad) and came out alright lol. Don't focus on results, just focus on preparation, because you'll feel so much better going in knowing you've tried your absolute best. :-) All the best!
