Worried about my ATAR

So I'm currently half way through term 2 of Year 12, and my results haven't been the greatest. I am aiming for at least a 65-70 ATAR to get into Bachelor of Business and specialise in Economics and Finance at RMIT and I would like to know what results I need to achieve it with my subjects (percentage or study scores) and I'm scared because Romanian is the only subject that gets scaled up (scaled up by 5). I'll list below my results so far in the year and my ranking (guessing). Please, only honest responses and be critical with me if need be, thanks!

English : Creative Piece (C), Argument Analysis (D+) - Ranked somewhere just below the middle of the class.
Business Management: SAC 1 (55%), SAC 2 (63%) - Ranked somewhere just above the middle of the class.
Geography: SAC 1 (70%) - Ranked 6/12 I think
Romanian: SAC 1 (75%) - Don't know my ranking.
Further Mathematics: SAC 1 (55%) - Ranked somewhere just above the middle of the class.

I am willing to invest a lot more time into studying if I'm not meeting the required results for a 65-70 ATAR
Also, what would happen if I just got below the required ATAR for the course I wanted to get into?

I won't predict ATARs here, because it will also be partially based on how well your school cohort performs, your final exam performance and a number of other factors. For now, I'll say try your best and aim to improve by studying smarter, not harder. AN has a lot of tips on improving grades and such, so I won't delve into that much here.

Depending on the degree you're looking at (you said B.Business at RMIT, which has a 70 clearly-in ATAR) and the subjects you've done, you might qualify for subject bonus (typically called "middle-band subjects" in Course Search). If you have any disadvantage whatsoever, you might also qualify for SEAS, which will also give a couple of bonuses when used for course considerations. These will help bump you up just a tiny notch and hence you might be able to get into your desired course.

Hope that helps.
