Not sure if I'd call it niche knowledge, but I can tell what month someone is born just by observing their face and demeanour. I legit remember everyone's birthday because of this, and it freaks people out. Because of this, I think that people are inevitably dictated by their birthdays. Each month is characterised by a certain vibe, but I can't quite put it in words. If someone is born in ____ (not going to say it because it might offend people lol), I am always cautious of them. It has never failed me, and people say that it's my "sixth sense". People who are born in December, June and February are always the best, and have never proven to be otherwise. People who are born in March are always good at holding conversations with people and are generally quite outgoing. I could go on and on about this lol. I can't quite put my finger on what type of vibe April gives off because it's when I'm born, and so I need to find someone who has the same philosophy as I do to ascertain that. I genuinely don't think it is some sheer coincidence, because it is always right.

Another thing, is I know an exorbitant amount about cults. I get some perverse joy from reading about them, especially the Korean Catholicism and Jehovah's Witness religion.
What about October?

Ooh, I forgot, I do know a fair bit about one niche topic.

I know a lot about the history of second-wave black metal, which was pretty much a music subculture within Norway in the early '90s. The music featured super distorted guitars, excessive blastbeats, and really screechy vocals. The musicians typically wore black-and-white paint (called 'corpse paint'), wore spikes, and almost always went by nicknames. The views of the people involved were very misanthropic and extremely anti-Christian -- there were dozens of church burnings attested to members. The subculture was very exclusive -- they didn't want 'posers' in their circle. They sometimes went to pretty gruesome measures to separate the posers from the non-posers, like throwing decapitated pig heads into crowds to see who would run. There were two murders commited by members during this time, and numerous assaults, kidnappings, and acts of torture. It was an absolutely horrible subculture. Some of the members (the less severe) ones have repented, but a lot of them still hold some disturbing views (especially on race). There's a lot more than this, but I wouldn't even know where to start going into it.

A pretty famous photo of a black metal musician for reference. Very dramatic

I love how this managed to pop up, awesome!

Not to brag, but I'm an expert at reading my mind.

Now I'm really curious how precisely the boundary cases are handled.  Is someone born at 11:59PM January 31 or 12:01AM March 1 quite different from their counterparts on the edge of February?  How about someone born on 29 February, who in other years would have been born in March?  Is someone born 14 February more of a "February" type than someone born on 1 February or 28 February?  And will it be different in a different state or country where the seasons play out differently? (even northern hemisphere with different school year boundaries etc.).  I think that's enough questions for now...

No, I've found that generally people who are born at the precipice between 2 months, possess characteristics of the actual month they're recorded to be born in. I've found that it doesn't really matter when in the actual month they're born, they're always a Feb person regardless if they're at the end or beginning. Although, people born on even numbers tend to show stronger characteristics of the month. I've yet to meet anyone born on Feb 29, but I'd assume they would be a Feb person because I think this ideology is based on the universe's calling. If they were born in Feb 29 2012 rather than March 1 2013, surely they were destined to be a Feb person. It's similar to people who are due on July 1, but are actually born on June 26, for example. The estimated due date is created by humans, but the fact that they were born early indicates that the universe did not intend for them to be a July person - thus they are inherently a June person. This has actually happened to a lot of people I know. I know someone who's born on May 1, which would be April 30 in the US, but she's definitely a May person by nature. It is not different in countries - this philosophy is universal imo. I haven't had much experience travelling, but through observing YouTubers from America and whatnot, I'm almost certain it is also applicable to other countries.

While I created this whole ideology through observations, I think it is purely objective. If a person isn't well intentioned, that is just how they are - but that doesn't mean I'm not going to be friends with them. In saying that, December people particularly stand out to me because they're always well-intentioned and it radiates through their skin somehow.

May. While I am goods friends with people in May right now, I'm always a bit wary because every bad encounter I've had with people, were with those born in May. I think October is also a bit obscure, people tend to be overly ambitious to the point where their morals become overshadowed. But May is a definite no go, in the lens of this philosophy.

Hey you've quoted the post but haven't said anything back to it! Do you have a niche area of knowledge? :))

Or anyone else for that matter?

A "niche" is just an area where you put something. So a "niche area of knowledge" is having a specific area of knowledge. :)

Also your question to Lumenoria was "What if I'm born on October 29th", yeah? It's just a bit difficult to see embedded in the long quote.

An interesting question. The first one that comes to mind is the soundcloud rap scene from 2016-present. Drama/gossip and music both. Just because most of the artists I like primarily post on there (or at least started their now big careers there) and I would follow the news closely on youtube to see when new projects are coming out/collaborations etc.

Beyond that the only other one is probably poker, from technical stuff to the history of the game etc. I have seen literally every single televised hand of poker from 2004-2011 and have travelled overseas to play in certain places for extended periods. When my grandpa would babysit me growing up he would always watch it on TV and as an adult I re-discovered those old tv shows and just dived back into them
