What do you want for your next birthday?

I am quite possibly the worst person in the world when it comes to answering this question lol. I generally don't enjoy birthdays, and would be more than happy with just bypassing it altogether.

But in saying that, you can never go wrong with getting me socks.

How about you? Is there anything in particular you're hoping for this (or next, as it may be) year? :)

I never really know what I like for my birthday/any other gift-giving time tbh, so my go-to responses are:
* Books
Because this is me 24/7

* Money
so I can do this (on my way to a bookshop or Australian Geographic aha)

Ditto. I'm past the point where the birthday hype happens... my next bday is my 24th and there isn't really much significance.

I usually get stuff that I need or just money so I can spend however I want.

Last year I got a dashcam and satnav for my car - items i'd actually use.

Next birthday..... who knows tbh. At the moment I like the idea of a console (e.g. PS4) but i'd take money so I can just store it for later use.....

How have you found the dashcam, Aaron? Is it a daily thing for you?

All I want for my 18th (in August) is a cake with candles (preferably 18 of them) and the night off work. Somehow I ended up working on my 15th, 16th, and 17th birthdays so I'm taking the day off in advance this year haha. My family normally has dinner of the person's choice together (which is pretty much the only time we eat together) on peoples birthdays but because I've worked the last few we've done that a few days late and I haven't had a cake since my 14th (well my bio teacher got me a cake last year but that only sort of counts). So yeah, if I don't get a cake this year I'm going to buy myself one and not share it :)

More generally books are always good, but I always have too many anyway. Otherwise nerdy posters to put up on my walls, I currently have a star wars poster, a few drawings of marvel characters that I got at comicon, and a few other random posters - I'm running out of wall space

I've had quite a few near misses (in terms of car crashes) as I drive on dangerous roads so it's definitely been put to good use :)

It would be good if cars came standard with them (e.g. like the reverse camera that some new cars have). Manual turning on/off really sucks.

Would you consider some ATAR Notes-themed posters? Say, a signed poster of Jamon or Lauren? ;D

I generally try to avoid celebrating my birthday, but sometimes it's not my choice haha. I'd always much prefer a fun time going out with some food and drinks than receiving a gift. Good times and great classic hits.

Socks, undies and fuel gift vouchers. Man, fuel is expensive.

I agree with the socks things as well. I find them amusing. In fact, I've had a growing sock collection since 2015 aha.

Besides from that, just a really nice pair of light brown brogue shoes. They're just something about that that is so stylish and professional at the same time!

And some really nice red velvet cake .....

Lo and behold my sock collection. Nothing too fancy. Just socks of cute animals.
**There would've been more socks but I think most of them are in the wash/I have lost them somehow

I wear socks once in a blue moon.  So like, yeah, no socks for me.  One pair would probably be enough to last me a couple of years.

I'm not big on gifts.  I feel like we all have more than enough stuff/ability to buy stuff already that they've lost some of the meaning they used to have.  I'd prefer a meaningful message or spending time together.
