Usually I'd pop a state mod resignation into the leadership thread, but given the magnitude of impact this person has had on our community, I think a dedicated thread is warranted.
RuiAce, one of the first ever HSC moderators and one of the most prolific posters in the history of ATAR Notes, has decided to step down as a HSC Moderator. He will most certainly still be around, and so I'm sure will only build even higher on top of the accolades I'm about to rattle off down below. However, this represents a huge loss to the leadership team - Rui is arguably one of the biggest reasons why AN has been able to successfully expand into NSW. His presence has shaped AN for the better, and him stepping aside represents a huge moment in the AN timeline.
Perhaps the greatest evidence of the level of Rui's contributions is the fact that my browser crashes every time I try to load his post history. Go figure

from what I
can see:
-
Over 7300 posts. That's an average of nearly 10 per day for the last two and a bit years. Nuts.
- Over 1200 posts in
each of the Mathematics and Maths Extension 1 HSC forums, and nearly 1000 in the Maths Extension 2 forum. Nearly 700 posts in the moderator section. Oh, and 500+ posts in HSC Chemistry, There's not many users where 500+ posts in a section is just a garnish.
- Close to 200 days of online time.
- Winner of several ATAR Notes Awards -> MVP HSC Maths in 2016 and 2017, and honourable mention for NSW MVP in 2017. Best of all, honourable mention for scariest mod in 2017

To put into perspective the sort of impact Rui has had,
one in four posts in the Maths boards come from him. I don't mean lately, I mean when you take every single post and add them up, one in four are Rui.
Insaaaaaane..
- Rui has also guided the leadership team as one of our most experienced state moderators (in either state).
One needs only to take a look around the HSC section for five minutes to see Rui's impact - It really has been monumental.
As Rui departs, I encourage everyone else to step up and see what sort of impact they can make on our community. Once upon a time, Rui was a lurker who probably thought that Jake/I's maths skills left a bit to be desired (

) - But just by getting involved, he's now a part of AN-lore (not to mention an ATAR Notes author and lecturer). You never know where lending a hand could take you!
Thank you for everything, Rui, can't begin to say how amazing it's been modding with you (and keen to keep working with you irl)
