Should I invest in an English tutor so close to the exam?

Hey guys,  :) :) :) :) :)
Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on whether or not I should get an English tutor for the next couple of months leading up to the English exam.
Why I think I should get one:
- I am currently ranked in the upper end of my cohort, but I really want to have my English skills a bit more polished so I can rank a little higher and can ace the exams:
- After speaking to students who graduated from my school last year, they have all kind of given me the same advice. They all said that our school's English teacher (we only have one) only likes a specifically formulated style of writing and that I should write my sacs they way she likes it, but for the exams take a different approach as my teacher's likings are very different from what assessors are looking for.
-I really need someone to push and motivate me. I have recently felt really de-motivated and often feel scared to tackle English prompts and so I just don't do them. I know this is something I need to work on myself, because I can't just always rely on someone pushing me, but at this stage, with all the pressures of vce, I reallllyyy need someone to.

However in saying all of that^^^, I'm unsure if I should invest in a tutor so late into the year (also as I'm seeing from the ads on this website, many are"full" for 2018)

What do you guys think??
And also, if there are any tutors or students willing to make some tuition space for me, that would be really great!!!!! :)))

Hey!
I'm a fellow year 12 student completing mainstream english as well.  I think it would definitely be a good idea to get an english tutor considering that the exams have such an affect on our study scores. I believe that a few months of hardwork can make a huge difference! I would encourage you to try and seek a tutor who can improve your skills and mentor you simultaneously. While popular tutors are currently full, I am sure there are many independent tutors who are willing to take up a student (look on tutor-finder!).
Graduated in 2018. Top 5%.

Hi again!

That's awesome you're ranked high in your cohort - congratulations :)

If you're starting to think about it, you could go ahead and try out one or two tutors, just so that you don't look back and potentially regret anything! Don't forget that you don't necessarily have to commit to tutors long term - perhaps one or two sessions will be enough for you to gauge whether tutoring is right for you. An alternative is looking for casual tutoring sessions, though I don't know how many of these tutors are available.

There are others ways you can get tailored help without necessarily going to a tutor and having a traditional tutoring session as well, for example, there are essay-marking services, and on-demand help services available out there for students who are rather diligent in their own work (see my signature!), but just need that extra bit of help now and then :)

I'm sure you'll make the right choice that suits you!

I'm aiming for a study score of 30+ in english. Is it worth getting a tutor 2 months before the english exam to get feedback on my writing skills?
Also, is private or group better (how much would private and group cost on average)?
