Hey guys,
Despite doing the chapter reviews, textbook questions, and past sacs from my school, I'm still not getting great results in my sacs (i'm only averaging around 65%)
I find that the sac questions are much harder than the textbook and chapter review questions, so how can I get more practise with difficult questions in sacs?
Could people getting 90+% in sacs give me some advice? I want to get a 35 raw study score in methods
My first methods sac (worth 17% of internal),i got 33/50,and for my second methods sac (worth 8.5 of internal), i'm estimating ~15/25 (havn't got it back yet)
I want to get 85-90% in my next sac probability (worth 8.5% of internal)
Also, is it true that if you do well in your exams, your sac marks get scaled up?
(also, i go to a really good public school, but my teacher said that our sacs are unlikely to be "standardized" (what does "standardized" mean?)
Thanks
Ok. So the first thing is that your ranking matters more than your SAC scores to date. How do you compare with others in your class? VCAA assumes that the smartest person in the class is ranked #1, so they make the #1 ranking of Sacs equal to the highest score by that class in the exam etc ad infinitum..l.. I'm not sure if this is what your teacher means by standardized?
For practice for Sacs, maybe try more exam-style questions, like from Checkpoints? They are more application-based, which is more like my school's Sacs....
Incidentally, I would highly recommend more focus on the Chapter review rather than the chapter questions, as the review is again, more application-based.
For a 35 Raw, you are looking at a B/C+... ~70% in both exams. With your current SAC scores, that is certainly achievable, but I would suggest practising some past exams. Ask you teacher as to which questions from the previous study designs are still relevant to this current SD.
For the company-exams, I don't really know, so I couldn't suggest anything.
Disclaimer. I am not getting 90% in my Sacs, so take this with a pinch of saltIf you could like help with any questions (except probability) send us a PM and I'll try to help.
