Catching up on maths to prepare for Methods

Hey there,
I was planning to follow an arts and humanities - focused VCE sequence, but have decided to try to focus a little more on STEM subjects so as to widen my university options (realised I really don't to do straight arts, regardless of how interesting it seems). I've admittedly been paying very little attention in Year 10 maths, and have been obtaining marks spread anywhere from B+ to D+, but probably do have some natural ability if I apply myself and can surely get over a 25 ss. What should I do to try to improve prior to starting 1/2 next year, assuming my application is accepted?
Thanks for helping out!

I would focus on building your understanding for algebra and how it works.

Depends on where you're headed.

If you want to study:
Any U3/4 Maths at all: basic algebra, linear equations, geometry, data and statistics (five number summary and a few more), basic probability, how to answer worded questions appropriately, how to problem solve
Further: See Any U3/4 Maths + Patterns (sometimes called Sequences and Series), basic financial maths, how to use a graphic calculator
Methods: See Any U3/4 Maths + intermediate algebra, quadratics, how to use a graphic calculator, matrices (maybe)
Specialist: See Any U3/4 Maths + See Methods + basic physics formulae (optional)

Note that this is a non-exhaustive list and you should confirm this with the study designs of these subjects to suss out if this is everything you'll need.

Hope that helps! :)
VCE: Psych | Eng Lang | LOTE | Methods | Further | Chem
Uni: Bachelor of Science (Hons) - genetics
Current: working (sporadically on AN)
