hello guys i was wondering if you guys can help me determine the difference between a discrete data and continuous data. the textbook does not explain it thoroughly and if it is possible to provide examples of each that would be helpful

Discrete data is often counted in integers e.g. 1 car or 15 people, so there are no fractions or decimals when discussing discrete data.
Continuous data is anything that can be measured with fractions/ decimals e.g. 10.32 grams.
