This is holiday homework so I am starting it but I don't understand anything here
The textbook doesn't seem to explain it properly it is useless:(
I really don't know what â is so I can't do any of the questions. Is there some sort of formula needed? someone plz explain!

The unit vector is a vector in the direction (of a) with a magnitude of 1.

This unit vector is produced by dividing the vector a by the magnitude of a which is |a|

Make sure to read the preceding chapter which should explain this.
