That's not that crazy - if they were all low A+'s and he was a part of a weak cohort.

How many marks can you in total for 2 exams to get 45+?

Do you mean how many marks can you lose? If so, you can actually lose quite a few in bio and still get a great study score, as the A+ cutoffs are quite low. I wouldn't be able to tell you how many exactly though. :)

^ you could probably lose about 12-15 marks across both exams before doubling (according to last years results) to get 45.

A+ A+ A+ - only 40 :uglystupid2:

Low A+'s.  One of the worst things.  But hey, cover up the study score and it looks a lot better, doesn't it?  :P

After looking at this thread, all I can say is thank goodness I dropped Bio in favour of Further Maths.  I would have been mauled if I continued with Bio.

^^^

Thanks Herzy!  47 on bio is awesome, especially after scaling.  Well done.  What put me off is that someone who I considered very smart that I knew got a 39, which made me think whoa Bio must be tough.

Maybe it is not overly competitive in the 45+ range, but I reckon the 35-45 range is very competitive?
I am very jealous that you can lose approx 12 marks on exam s still get a 45 SS. :P

And thanks, I may just take you up on that offer a little later on. :)
