I wish to do medicine in uni but...

I know that it's very hard to get into medicine.
Do I need to study/complete any units of biology in order to be eligible for an undergraduate degree?
I've chosen biology, chemistry and legal studies but I was afraid that the workload might be a bit heavy. Funnily enough, biology and English literature have clashed so now I'm forced to choose between one of them, but I'm not sure which to choose.
I feel as if biology might be a bit of a burden(not that I don't like it, just that it seems a bit heavy), so I was wondering if it is a necessity, and if so, is it better to study unit 1 and 2 before 3 and 4?

You don't need to do biology. You will need to do chemistry, and methods is a good idea too.
