Hi,
Starting year 12 next year and I would like to know which company (ATAR, A+, NEAP Notes, etc.) provides better text guides and context guides.

My favourites were the Insight text guides and comparisons, and the Pearson English comparisons :D

Really, I've read that insight's text guides are super generic and since they're around the same price as the neap one's not worth buying.
Have you tried Neap as well?

I've found English resources in general not very useful. They only cover the very basic characters and thematic concerns. I would not waste money on any EXCEPT perhaps the VATE resources (not sure if students can buy these though) as these are quality.

You are much better off finding literary criticisms online or asking your local library for some. These, in my opinion, are a thousand times better than any commercial resource.

Yeah but you need somewhere to start!
So the study guides will help to find out about what the essential themes, characters and all are.
They generally seem to help build the foundations (especially when you've got a shitty teacher like I do this year).
