This may be a random question, but I'm wondering about how many people approximately enrol in UniMelb's Bachelor of Commerce (Start-Year Intake) per year? Thanks

I'd say around 1500-2000. I can try to explain my reasoning, but keep in mind this is purely speculation based on whatever evidence I could find and personal experience

In 2017, there were 1143 first rounds offers through VTAC into UniMelb's BCom in 2017 (obviously some of these will reject/defer ect). From the link vox nihili posted, just over half the students in the BCom are international students, who may or may not have applied through VTAC, so it's not totally clear what the exact number is (unless someone else knows how to find it?)... I know some people classified as international students who did VCE here (so definitely applied through VTAC), whereas others came to Melbourne for uni or even transfer from an overseas uni who applied directly through the uni, and thus VTAC wouldn't have data on them. That link also says there are a total of 5444 students, so rounding down to 5000 to take into account that some do honours or take longer than 3 years to complete, 5000/3 gives 1667, which would be a lower bound as people will drop out/transfer (But then again, some will transfer in too)

Also, I think there were 1500+ in the compulsory subject ECON10004 in my first semester, but a decent % of this would be people doing it as a breadth from other courses such as Science, and not everyone would do it first semester.
