Special consideration for Deferred Exam
« on: November 12, 2018, 10:43:48 pm »

Hi guys,

I was ill and absent for a final paper and got a medical certificate beforehand as a proof to apply for a deferred exam. Gonna hand it in tomorrow. However I just realised the rules require the wording “unfit for examination” on the notes while mine just stating “unfit for regular duty/school”. Is it acceptable for special consideration?
The doctor who wrote me the note is a seasonal doctor in the hospital, so it might be difficult to find him again.

Any advice?

I go to Unimelb but have gone through the process before. All medical certificates are pretty generic and work like that (unfit for work/uni). So you should be fine, as long as the dates are indicated correctly. Just submit it ASAP.
