I did my final exam for Methods 1&2 a while ago, what should I be doing in the mean time to best prepare me for 3&4? Are there any resources that anyone could recommend?

You don't really need much special resources to learn the methods course.

Just moving through the textbook in an orderly manner whilst completing the exercises (the main form of study) would be a great start for your year.

If you're really keen for a head start, I'd suggest working through your methods textbook and getting familiar with calc commands on the CAS(ik the Cambridge textbook teaches you calc skills, not sure about any other textbook). For me, I was very keen on doing well for methods this year and in the holidays finished a large chunk of the course. This meant that during the year, I could spend time focusing on other subjects and not having to prepare for methods sacs, being already confident in the content, which further allowed me to start practice exams early. Though in retrospect, I must say it wasn't necessary since I have a couple of mates who just relaxed and scored really well ATAR-wise and in methods. So really, it's up to you. Hopefully this helps :)

Hi there!
I second what ian3150 have said. Can I also emphasise that it is can be helpful to have a deep conceptual understanding to score well in VCE maths subjects? If you have time over the holidays, rather than focusing too much on the course, which you will get bored of quite quickly throughout the year (it's really not as daunting as it might appear to be), it might be a good idea to spend some time going through the fundamentals of maths, eg. how to use the unit circle to your advantage in every trig problem, why differentiation and integration works. If you're keen, take a look at the Essence of Calculus series by 3Blue1Brown on YouTube. Developing an interest is more important than anything at this point.

Well, do you have a books? If you have then follow the books. If you don't have, then ask your friends who past that , of course it is will be different program that mean that if you doing 3 units , you need take a book from old program 4U. Because new syllabus, it is harder. But if what just look on the http://educationstandards.nsw.edu.au/wps/portal/nesa/11-12/stage-6-learning-areas/stage-6-mathematics and follow new syllabus. It is will show how to do things. But as I said if you have a books already, then just follow the books, because the syllabus is the same, but different school have a different books that mean that people can study in different ways.
