got a 39 in business management, it's my only 3/4 since i was in year 11 this year.
i'm pretty happy with it, although i was aiming for a 40 i came pretty close, but i know i would have been on the low end of the A+ for my unit 3 work, and i may not have done as well as i'd hoped on my exam so that probably dragged it down a little (i had GA1=A+, GA2=A, GA3=A)
still pretty proud tho!  :)

Big shoutout to PhoenixFire for the encouragement last night!

For some reason, even though I was day dreaming about going iceskating throughout my entire exam and averaging 82% in Unit 3, I managed to get a 47 in bio o.o"

Predicted 43 in bio after checking solutions, and got a little higher (raw 44)
Slightly disappointed cos I was aiming for a 47+ at the start of the year but ah well I'll cop it.

So I’m in year 11 and I did biology this year and got a study score of 30, which I’m not particularly happy with but it has definitely given me motivation to try harder next year. I’m just wondering, because a study score of 30 is considered the mean, does this mean it won’t get scaled up next year when I receive my atar?
Thanks

It should scale to 31.

Biology (last year): 38
Chemistry: 41
English: 41
Further Maths: 44
Maths Methods: 39 :0
Physics: 43 :(

ATAR: 97.50. Pretty happy with my results, especially for English and Methods. Although I expected a higher Physics score because I put a lot of work into it.

Ouch :( At least you did well at what is clearly the best subject (in my completely non-biased view). Hope you find a way into your course (if that's what you're aiming for)

I know this probably doesn't give you any comfort, but getting a 48 in Bio is absolutely amazing and shows that you have a genuine strength/interest in this area. In terms of actually getting into a uni course due to pre-reqs, it may take a bit longer... and you may even wish to consider diploma --> 2nd year schemes that some unis offer.. that way, you wouldn't be significantly impacted too much.

I was in a similar situation to you, in the sense that I had one subject I did really well in and the rest were mediocre at best. I would approach it in this way: at least there was 1 subject which you nearly got a 50 in.. a worse scenario for you would've been all subjects around that 20's range which luckily didn't happen.

I know focusing on positives is difficult at this time and I totally get that not getting the results you want can hit hard, but it will get easier once you have a plan in place and you may even learn more from it.

All the best. :)

Got a 41 in busman. Pretty good for year 11 I guess but honestly expected to get slightly more. Although I am really happy with it because the first 2 sacs I got 93 and 85 which although are pretty high, it was about rank 3 and rank 4 respectively. That sort of got me going and motivated me and I smashed out the rest of the sacs.
Although I am kinda interested on how much my classmates affects my score because as far as I know the rank 1 exam score becomes the percentage the rank 1 SACs get?
One other bloke I think got rank 2, rank 1 and then got the exact same score as me for the rest of the SACs but got B+ on the exam and I don't think anyone else did exceptional on the exam either so I guess that means my first 2 sacs ended up quite bad but my own exam score kept the rest high.
Overall good experience to do a class that finally matters and I am excited for y12.

I've never seen anything like this before. Did you exclusively study bio or something?

That's unreal. I mean you'll probably be fine cause it shows serious dedication to a specific area but how in the fuck.
