How long do study scores last?

Hey guys,
I wasnt sure where to put this topic, so I hope its in the right spot here. I was wondering, how long do study scores last? On the VCAA website it says 'you may take as long as you want to complete VCE' but people have told me that they only last a max of 2 years? And for example, if this happened:
2017: did bio 3&4, got a decent score
2018: other five subjects, but screwed one of them up
2019: repeat that subject and score better
Would I still be able to keep the SS from 2017? Or is that gone.
Was just hoping for some clarity on the subject, thanks!

You can definitely do that, I'm not sure if they do ever 'expire' but 3 years is definitely fine

Two year expiration is just a myth. According to this report someone did VCE over 5 years
