Question about scholarships

Hi! I've been seeing a few people saying that they've been offered scholarships by Monash yet this link (https://www.monash.edu/study/fees-scholarships/scholarships/applications/2019-scholarship-offers) says that none of the scholarships have been offered yet? I'm just wondering why it doesn't says 'in progress' and was also wondering what scholarships people have been offered!

I know that the Vice-Chancellor's scholarships for Excellence and Achievement have been offered, I don't know of any others unfortunately

I think the process of offering scholarships happens over a period of a few weeks. I received the Vice Chancellor's Scholarship for Achievement and didn't hear anything/get a letter about it until January

Perhaps this is relevant to students who are already undertaking a uni course, as some scholarships are applicable to both uni and new students.

I'm over the moon about getting the scholarship, but I'm not sure whether to accept up-front or to wait for a possible (but very unlikely) better option.

Depends. Scholarships will be offered until course offers are out. If your scholarship offer has a deadline before then, I would probably consider the chances and come to a decision closer to the deadline.

At the very least I'd imagine you can accept scholarship offers before uni offers come out and still get other scholarship offers. From memory I also got a scholarship offer from Charles Sturt so I don't think it'll affect you getting offers. What's the deadline to accept the scholarship by?

The due date for the scholarship is 18th of Jan, I think. I didn't realise that preference changes closed yesterday, so I just have to leave them as they are, and that has a Monash course up top, which I should get, so there shouldn't be too much of a problem. Thanks for your help, guys!

All good. There's also at least one short window where course preferences will be open and shut again before your scholarship deadline. This, AFAIK, is on the 3rd Jan (3pm) - 4th Jan (4pm), so you can still change things then, if you so wish.
