Likelihood of getting a second round offer?

Hi all. Thanks so much in advance for your help.

I am so stressed out and upset at the moment.

This morning I received an offer for my second preference at Monash University. My first preference was a Bachelor of Design at the University of Melbourne (I met all of the pre-requisites), but, my ATAR was 3.25 under the 2018 clearly in rank - HOWEVER, I attended an under-represented school, and so am eligible for Access Melbourne (I applied for the relevant SEAS category). So;
- do you think I have any chance of receiving a second round offer for my first preference, or is this just a pipe dream? I'd rather have a realistic outlook
now than be bitterly disappointed come second round day  :-[
- does the University of Melbourne consider the Access Melbourne scheme come second round offers?

Thank you!!!

There's a chance, a smaller chance albeit, but a chance nonetheless. Definitely accept the offer either way and you can unenrol or transfer later on, if need be.

If you were given a notification saying you got accepted into the Access Melbourne program, it covers all rounds of offers AFAIK.
