Is it necessary to enroll in sem 2 classes now?

Is it necessary to enroll into sem 2 classes now because I'm not sure about what to do yet and if i enroll into them, I may forget and get stuck in them if i change my mind... also, because to get my student id card, they say it will only be printed when i have completed the subject enrolment in my study plan and i have done that for sem 1 but not sem 2, so does that mean it hasn't been printed out yet?

You only need to have enrolled in your first semester subjects. It's your choice whether or not to enrol in semester 2 subjects, you have until week 3 of semester 2 to decide which subjects you want to take in that semester (and can change them anytime between now and then).

As long as it is before the census date (which is usually at the end of week 3 of the semester) you can change your subjects for the semester.

The exception to the above is quota subjects, which are pretty rare and are clearly marked on the handbook.

This is incorrect.

You have until end of week 1 in a semester to add subjects yourself.

After week 1 until cenus date you can drop subjects without being charged, but you can only enrol in a subject with the approval of the coordinator.
