Yep, pretty sure I got that.

For q2 about the lifts - did y'all get 390 for the first, 590 for the 2nd?

And the cis(theta) question: -sqr(14)/4 + sqr(2)/4i or something? I don't remember it exactly..

Yes for the lift, can't help you with the second one as I didn't get it.

i lost my marks in Q9,
i freaked out too much when we had to integrate 1/[(y+2)^2+4]
and left it till too late.
i kind of had an in-cling to use arctan, but meh,
i better study for exam 2, that one's gonna kill me.

Aw /\ time was a major stuff up for me, too - our clock stopped at 4pm but we weren't told about it until it was 4.10pm. I was relaxing and thought I had 15 minutes, when I only had 5 minutes left. Next time, I'm bringing my own watch.

I think this year's exam 1 was of a very good standard. Wasn't too hard and wasn't too easy, it tested almost everything however there was no solids of revolution =\

Oh, totally forgot about solids of revolution. You can bet that it'll definitely be one of the extended response in exam 2. I for one, was glad that there was no graph to draw.

By subbing (1,1) into the original equation, you could find the value of k and hence end up with an actual number for the gradient.

So what do you guys reckon the A-cut off, or the A+ cut off will be?

last year 32/40 was an A+
and 07 it was 36/40 for an A+....

im hoping this years would be around 34-35... lol im hoping, coz if so than i might be able to scrape in an A+

i know this sounds, perhaps malevolent, but i hope to god that either everyone performed poorly, or there were a lot of weak specialist maths students this year ahhahahaha
