Monash undergrad med or Melbourne grad med

Hi,
I'm fairly confident of my chance of getting into Monash Uni for undergraduate medicine. However, I know that if you get a 99 ATAR and have 75%WAM, you have guaranteed graduate medicine (no GAMSAT) at Melbourne Uni. I am really not sure which to choose as both have pros and cons.

Monash Pros:
Only 5 years
Prestige of getting into undergraduate medicine.

Monash Cons:
Really far away - approx. 2 hour drive per day
Not many friends going to Monash.

Melbourne Pros:
More relaxing study
Many friends going to Melbourne
Already part of the system (University extension program)

Melbourne Cons:
Takes longer to complete course.

I'm not really sure which one I want to go to, so could I get some advice from people who have done either course?

p.s. something to consider is that I have not had much of a workload compared to other students this year as I only did 3 in school subjects and 1 uni extension, as I completed 3 subjects last year, so will that effect my ability to study if I go to monash?

Thanks

One really critical component of this that you might have missed is that a 99 ATAR only guarantees you an "Australian fee place", which means full fee. This means you'd need to pay more than $300,000 for the course. Of course, this doesn't preclude you from taking the GAMSAT and applying for the competitive process, though.

Definitely go towards the undergrad option. Saves you years of HECS from undergrad and as above, 99 ATAR does not guarantee you a CSP place. Also you still have to pass the MMIs and maintain a WAM.
2018: ATAR: 99.35
Subjects
English: 44
Methods: 43
Further Maths: 50
Chemistry: 46
Legal: 40
2019: Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine @ Monash
