Leadership in VCE

I thought it would be good to make a thread where we can all share our leadership experiences during VCE. We can discuss topics such as whether we should apply for leadership positions in year 12 and how it can benefit us for the future. Is it easy to manage along with studying?

Enjoy :)

I did a bunch of leadership things during VCE and I definitely recommend it.  Having things that aren't study is great to provide some balance and get your mind out of the VCE bubble every now and then :)

I'm in year 12 this year, also school captain, and I highly recommend doing leadership in VCE. I know many people complain about how school isn't ""applicable to real life"" or whatever, well if that's the case I think taking on leadership roles definitely make up for it.

Seriously cannot recommend it more.

I agree. I am in year 11 and have been involved in leadership since year 7!
It is a great way to take some time off studying and help improve the school community. It is very rewarding to be able to contribute my skills to benefit other students and make school a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Leadership does require commitment, for example lunchtime meetings or after school but it is all part of the process.
I am looking forward to applying for School Captain for year 12 in 2020!
Hope you all consider taking up a leadership opportunity.  ;D
