oh i just remembered a stupid question. what about the PKU question.

the one with Max and Jack ..two phenotypical differences?

i couldnt see 2. i saw one. lack in pigment. what was the other one? i made some bs like their diet would mean different body structures or something

That was odd, but I think just saying that they didn't produce Enzyme whatever letter it was when the other one did was sufficient for the second phenotypic difference.
Otherwise it would have made no sense.
You can get it from your diet.
At least I hope so.

i know. another stupid question to the tally. whats the score now? 10? :P

You know the question asking OUTLINE how someone can predict if the organism was heterozygous for 2 gene loci. Did you need to show the cross? I was like why are they leaving a big space here for just "test cross answer"?

If someone got 25 on MC, he didn't have time to get the SA finished.
And vice-versa.

I reckon this will be a definite low A+ guys, :).
a 25 in the mc took probs abt 25-30 mins, then the rest is more than sufficient ot finish sa no?

Lol I was lucky on that one coz my textbook had that condition explained. The guy with 1 loci recessive can't produce pigment in hair and skin. The guy homozygous+heterozygous for 2 loci can produce pigment in hair and skin

You needed to say test cross and then show the cross.
Whenever they leave that kind of space, they always intend you should show the cross.
Again, it was ambiguous.

I don't remember letter but its the point just before the little tiny section (assuming its cytokinesis)

Were we also meant to mention anaphase for that? if so i musn't have seen it
Yea i mentioned anaphase I don't think theres anything wrong. I mean thats the only way to explain. Its the seperation of chromatids and should be towards the end of mitosis.

Anaphase is correct but you needed to explain WHY it was anaphase to get the fucking 1 mark qs which is bs i think, should be a two marker if they want two bits of info

what was the answer for the last question... was it red, green or black? i said it could either be red or green coz the daughter would have inherited one of the alleles from the mother who had green and red in the microarray

i was gonna say red OR green but the question . which would it be red, green or black. i didnt see anything asking for a possible 2 options so i just stuck with green.
