What study score can I expect for chem?

Unit 3 sacs: 95%
Unit 4 sacs: 98%

I'm hoping to get 95% on the exam.

I'm aiming for very high 40s, like around 48. The study score calculator app says that I'll get 45 even with a 95% exam score. Is this accurate?
2019: English [43], Chemistry [44], Italian [44], Business Management [41], Methods [37]
ATAR: 97.65

2020: Bachelor of Science (Chemical Systems) @ UniMelb
2023: Masters of Engineering @ UniMelb

I don't know about the study score calculator app but generally, any type of model used to estimate study scores breaks at the extremes.

A 95% (114/120) in the past has yielded a 50 but that was the first year when they had a combined exam (both units 3 and 4) - I think in 2013. However, more recently it will probably yield 47-48 I think.

A 45 study score is more 110-112/120.

Hey Sine,
For Chem I've been averaging roughly 85% all year... puts me above average in a pretty strong cohort.
What exam score do you think I will need to score a 40, or high 30?
I've been getting high 80's on praccy's, but just wanted ur advice.
Thanks

Oh okay that sounds great, maybe not a raw 50 but something over 45 is definitely what I'm aiming for. Thank you!

Based on that you are probably on track for high 30s. I think mid-80s is ideal for a 40 on most years.  Obviously it will also depend on the difficult of the exam too.
