Hey everyone I was just wondering what the expected number of contact hours per week is for bachelor of science @ unimelb first year. Also when do timetables get released? Thanks in advance

Depends what subjects you're doing.
Maths subjects are usually 4 contact hours per week (3 lectures + 1 tute). Sometimes more.

But whatever your contact hours are remember that you are expected to be working 10 hours per week per subject (including contact hours).
So 4 subjects means 40 hours total per week. Same as a full time job.

Timetables are already released in the 2020 handbook. You can add up the contact hours given in the handbook for each subject.
