I like both.
Which one you choose, however, depends on the context (e.g. you can't dance freestyle for a concert or competition, and you are unlikely to have a pre-choreographed dance when you're dancing for fun at a party).
There are pros to both. You can't go wrong with freestyle, and you can't exactly make a mistake. If you stuff up on a choreographed dance then people will be able to tell, you get anxious, but with experience, you'll learn to cover it up and keep going so it doesn't appear as a mistake (except seasoned dancers who could probably recognise the mistake). I guess you could not make mistakes through practice, but sometimes they can happen. Also, the lack of structure in freestyle can make for quite a sloppy dance, albeit fun. It really depends though.
Both are really fun and entail different experiences!
