Nanomaterials in VCE Chemistry

Hi,

I'm taking 1/2 Chemistry this year, and my class has been told not to do any questions relating to nano-materials/nano-particles from the textbook, as apparently they will not be on any of the 3/4 SACs or the exam. Is this true?

I had a quick look in the study design, and it says the following; relative  and  absolute  sizes  of  particles  that  are  visible  and  invisible  to  the  unaided  eye:  small  and  giant  molecules and lattices; atoms and sub-atomic particles; nanoparticles and nanostructures

(We're using Heinemann Chemistry 1 5th ed. as our textbook, but I also have a copy of Jacaranda Chemistry 1)

Thanks.

Evolio

Hey!
Yes, this study design dot point is under VCE Units 1 2.
However, it is not under VCE Units Units 3 4. So, this material will not be learnt in VCE Units 3 4 or assessed in 3 4 SACs and the exam.

Ok, thanks heaps. Just needed some additional clarification! I'll save my time revising other areas then.
