Sir I need help, I need methods as a prerequisite and I already failed unit 1, idek what to do I’m gonna be a disappointment to my family.

Every time I do a methods sac/test the short answers are ok, but the multiple
Choice stuff me up heaps, there’s no way to practise these multiple
Choice question on my textbook only
The short answers Can be Pracrised from
The textbook, however there are multiple choice in the textbook
But there not as as clear as the ones on the sac they are completely different... idk what to do, I STUDY SO MUCH and still fail.

I need help to improve what ways what books can I buy you think will help

First things first: if you don't like Methods/don't do well, maybe doing a course with it as a prereq is not a good idea. But idk.
Depends probably how you're studying - do you understand the content? Why things happen the way they do? Not just know how to go through a series of steps - but why it works that way. Therefore, if you understand all these things and why they happen you should be able to answer questions. Also, I assume you know how to use the CAS, inside, outside, upside, downside? That is important. Use the CAS for everything you can use, but be able to work things by hand too.
Have you got a tutor? A good tutor? Someone who can explain the whys not just the hows?
And not to forget, practise, practise, practise.
Hope this helps.
Also don't worry too much about it, don't stress, just do your best, you know? Stress don't help nobody with trying to focus and study and learn new stuff. Maybe also remind yourself why you're doing Methods if you feel discouraged, and keep on keeping on! :)

I understand what you're currently feeling, as I was in a similar position. For me personally, I struggled with extended response questions that required you to recall mathematical knowledge and skills learnt through the years. As rigged as this may sound, many Textbook Solutions are filled with errors and the suggested answers can still be fallible. If you have no choice but to continue Methods, make sure for Unit 1, look at the topics that remain the same in Unit 3 or 4 and make sure you fill in those gaps. If you have the papers for the SACs you did in Unit 1 or remember the sort of questions that were on it, especially the Mutiple Choice ones, find similar questions from textbooks or online and complete those questions and ask your teacher to mark them for you. If your teacher isn't willing to give you that support, if possible, seek help from other Methods or math teachers at your school. If that isn't possible as well, you can always ask questions here on the VCE Methods Question Thread

Also, assuming that you want to build some confidence by learning some strategies to deal with multiple choice questions in general, this might come handy: Answering Mutiple Choice Questions (look under 'General Advice')

In my eyes, you're not a disappointment :) you're willing to face your obstacles. You would only be a disappointment to yourself, if you didn't seek help and didn't give your 200%
