GAT standardized score

As the GAT is fast approaching, I am starting to do my GAT prep, just a question regarding it's standardized score, I did the GAT last year and got the standardised results which I was quite surprised with, is getting higher than 40 in the GAT supposed to be easier than 40+ in a subject? is 50 the same as a 50 in a subject?

I'm asking because I did surprising well last year for my GAT, getting
Written Comm: 41   
Maths/Science   : 50
Human/Arts: 39

Getting high scores in the GAT is probably easier than an actual subject given everyone sits the GAT. For instance in the gat humanities section you are competing against everyone doing any 3/4 subject but in an actual vce humanities subject it is mainly those who are interested in the subject.

Hi, sorry to hijack these thread but can anyone tell me what GAT scores we should be looking at to see how well we did - the raw scores or the standardised scores? If standardised scores, what are they out of?

standardised scores, these are out of 50 and are scored like study scores with a mean of 30 and standard deviation of 7
