Hi there. I'm currently in Year 10 and looking to find out the best way to take notes and study. I'm trying to implement good habits for VCE later on. Thanks

Active recall. https://atarnotes.com/active-recall/
If the booklets given by your school include a fundamental checklist, treat them as questions and answer them accordingly.

Science:
- Active recall + notes based on fundamental checklist 1 week before tests
- Do 1-2 practice questions from each chapter
- Do a practice test

Maths:
- practice, practice, practice. Skip over the questions you know how to do. Attempt the hard ones

English:
- familiarise yourself with structure
- Learn vocab strategically ([represents, foregrounds, depicts], [ideology, notions, hegemonic])
- Handwriting. It doesn't have to be perfect, but make sure it's tall + skinny.
- Do practice essays + paragraphs. Show them to your teacher regularly.
- Regular check-ins with teachers for practice essay/paragraph feedback
