the unit 3 one was something like ' "lass often need to change. sometimes parliament fails to fulfil its role as a law maker adequately" discuss this with reference to how individuals groups and one formal law reform body can influence changes in the law.

i didnt do strengths/weaknesses of parliament, i just pointed out how sometimes parliament doesnt legislate because its not sure of the public's view (which i said was a weakness) along with 3-4 informal pressures + 2 cases and VLRC with 2 examples of how its influenced parliament. fillled up all the pages tho

mm i'm not too sure if you'll get the full marks because the q requires strengths and weaknesses of parliament. but hope to prove me wrong.

hard, what would you have said for the question that said: pre trial procedures help to speed up a civil dispute, to what extent do you agree. Explain with reference to ONE civil pre trial procedure.

It was worth 6 marks. Threw me. What the hell are you meant to write to cover 6 marks worth!
1. talk about what pre trial procedures are and ONE example of them and say how it helps speed up civil disputes. e.g. writ helps parties know what the other wants so saves time in court. (2-3 marks)
2. then you say whether you agree  that pre trial help speed up civil proceedings and you can chuck in some weaknesses of pre trial and some advantages here. (3marks)

not worth 6marks imo, should be 4

Sorry accidentally wrote 6! It was actually 5, edited the post!
I said the aim of pre-trial procedures and how they help clarify issues and stuff.
And then talked about further and better particulars.

questions were generally good just had a bit of trouble with the 'Marital Status Act question (3a) and evaluating the effectiveness of the Constitution's protections of democratic and human rights.

yeah EVALUATE the process used in s128 - i outlined the process then realised the evaluate so put in like a one liner about the low success rate. AH! what the hell did evaluate mean it was such an ambiguous question

for the question regarding the appellate jurisdiction of the high court, did most people say appeals from the full bench to the full court?

and for those who chose b. for the final question, i only used 2 reent changes and 1 recommendation for change, just used one for 2 elements, do you think that matters?

i found the exam manageable but NOTHING like all the previous exams! the wording of the questions was much more intricate and some questions were just really unexpected.. like the evaluation of the constitution's protections and the s. 109 question

B.

I would have preferred to do A but I was a bit vague on law reform bodies. Turns our I was a bit vague on recent changes or recommendations for change to the entitlement to a fari and unbiased hearing

same here. how many recent/recommendations for change did you use?

i wrote about each individual principle and suggested at least one... two in most cases. but i left about ten lines on the last page :(... ran out of time.

I tried to include 2 for each, i ended up doing mostly recent changes for the four elements.

same here. how many recent/recommendations for change did you use?
