how is ur exam score affected by others?

well if you have people in your class pulling E+'s and D's... this brings the average for your class down significantly thus causing the maximum grade in your class to also come down... why do you think prestigious school have 90% of students getting HIGH scores, because the whole cohort performs well.
Im wondering, so say if alot of people in the state do shit like him, that stuffs it up for the people who do well. See I always thought it was the opposite, if alot in the state do well the cutoff is higher, but whatever.

I (ME) pointed out that by you doing nothing in your exam you are not helping yourself or anyone around you... you can think what you want but in the end you are not only harming yourself but also HARMING OTHERS

He's helping me by getting a bad score, exams are all graded relative to the performance of others, so he's making mine look better in comparison. So I say props to you, ngrising, and I hope your D is everything you had hoped it would be and more.

how is ur exam score affected by others?

From what most of the teachers at my school have said, you're ranked within your class which is ranked within your school which is then ranked with every other school in victoria.
If you do well but the rest of your class does crap then your marks gets dragged down because your class will have a lower ranking in your school and state.

I admit im not sure if it changes your actual exam marks but it definately alters your study score.

yeah exactly, thats why you need a good balance of a moderate exam thats not too easy and not too hard, and a bunch of students that actually want to work. Its a stupid system in that sense but its the only partially accurate way of measuring peoples' intelligence from different districts and of varying social backgrounds.

Your exam mark is about how you perform and nothing else. This won't get changed by your cohort's overall performance but the study score you get at the end will. EG: sac marks make a big difference between what could be a low 40's, high 40's, low 30's or high 30's.

excludes bribes xD

If people cared enough that they wanna do really well they would be getting top ranked, in which case, his exam wont effect those who have tried hard and got ranked high. His exam, being low is moreso affecting the duds who get low sac rankings, so yeh they deserve it if thats the case. But on another note, hes helping the state out by dropping the mean score, so thanks.
