Concern with the biofuel question

I just wanted to get people's opinions on this. The biofuel question said not to use methyl pal...(whatever it was). My intepretation of that was that it's just a standard thing put in to prevent people trying to get a mark by just stating the name of the biochemical fuel already given. However, a large number of people have put biodiesels as their fuel, with the raw material being fatty acid/vegetable oil/methanol. Of course this information was not given in the question. But do you think they will accept biodiesels as an answer given that the biochemical fuel given in the question was in fact a biodiesel?

Ethanol is fine. I should've put ethanol :S Don't know why I didn't. I just thought, straightforward question, write anything down it doesn't really matter....

do you mean people wrote 'biodiesel', or a specific one?
in my opinion, i reckon it should be right, just as long as you didn't write methyl palmitate or whatever it is,
and you weren't being too general.

I also put Bioethanol, with the raw material being Sugar cane..
Im assuming that biodiesel would also be fine, as it is a biofuel.

I think they would accept it since they didnt explicitly mention that methyl pal.. was a biodesial
i said biodesial raw material was methanol

would 'crops' be enough for the raw material or do you have to specify
lol im shit at chem and just guessed most of it

if i said "ethanol" as my fuel instead of "bioethanol", with "biomass" being the source, do you think that would that be considered correct?
biomass being general crops and canes being used to produce ethanol, or would it have to be more specific eg"sugar cane"

i think it's ok to just write ethanol.
but couldn't biomass mean waste matter too? lol
i said corn, i don't know y, but wonder whether it's right...

I think most people who wrote a biodiesel just wrote 'biodiesel' as an example of a biochemical fuel, as opposed to "methyl [insert fatty acid that is not palmitate here]"

I hope it'll be ok  :-\. Because it just specifically asked you not to use methyl palmitate, and textbooks and resources generally just label bioethanol, biogas and biodiesel as biochemical fuels. But out of them only ethanol is a specific substance, the rest are groupings.

The only way it wouldn't be fine is if they're really having trouble separating people when it comes to marks, I think.

Biomass is a bit general, because that may have reference to the production of biogas (Decomposition of organic matter)
Im really not to sure on that one
