In terms of VCE... 2nd-hand is good for English texts since the person before you has annotated it with all their ideas.

@ uni... books that I can buy 2nd-hand, I buy 2nd-hand.

I hate buying new books and when the study design changed so I had to buy new books I would rage.

Depends on the condition of the book really. I don't mind second hand usually, but I hate it when a well kept book ends up to have graffiti of genitals every couple pages...

Yeah i mostly just get second hand, unless its like a workbook or new edition/study design.

This might be a little off topic, but where do uni students usually buy their second hand books besides going to other students?

Monash has a second-hand bookshop. The law students society also runs a second-hand book sale at the start of every year, I dunno about other faculties or other universities though
Can anyone buy books from there? As in students from other unis
