Oh so it was the highest performing one

The report also says:
The highest mean scores were achieved by students who wrote on Hard Times, King Richard III, Selected Poems, (Slessor) and Collected Stories (Farmer).

But I'd imagine AMFAS would be up there. It was the highest performing one out of the 5 most popular ones.

I feel so sad. I remember starting 2009, and seeing the "2009 English students". Now we have the 2010's, naww

Piece of advice? The year fly's by terrible fast. Savour it

We are doing 'The Crucible', 'Maestro', and 'Into Thin Air', so ha (and damn) two ones not mentioned yet.

I wonder how Cosi is going to go. We're doing it too :).
Done Cosi this year, it was pretty short, easy and entertaining. Although it did make my teacher admit she is a communist and that she believes all males in our class will someday cheat...
Hmm...next year already. Well better set my goals and all...(raw)

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Don't complain about 'Whose Reality'. It's tres chouette.

In your reality, or mine? ^_~

I'm jealous to an extent of every other context in that they get to do some of my favourite texts (The Crucible, Catcher in the Rye).  On the other hand, "Whose Reality?" has the most interesting context topic of them all...

You have opened up a can of worms here my friend! LOL, Identity and Belonging FTW

I have discovered SO MUCH about human minds and about myself! In the texts I have been able to make strong connections etc, to who I am and how I connect to the world! As well as comparing the context with people around me !!!

LOL, nah. IMO i think all the contexts are designed like this, to really enage you, and allow you to be philosophical

Only one thats crap is the Imaginative Landscape, WTF is that? LOL, sounds like you talk about fantasy o.O

At my school, we get to choose what context we want to do between identity and belonging, whose reality and encountering conflict. It's good that way!! I am doing identity and belonging.

I reckon the imaginative landscape would be interesting!!! I probably would've chosen that if my school offered it.

What?!

How on earth does that work? The reason schools choose one is so it can be like COLLECTIVE learning, and that we all say ideas related to the ONE theme.

Also, because of financial/resource constraints....it's easier to but a stack load of stuff about one context, than heaps on several.

That's really weird =S

But i suppose it has its merits
