I print at school because it's for free.  Well, technically it is all part of the school fees but it's for free because I don't have to pay like 11c per sheet or something.

The only problem is when the year 12s go through like 5-6 packets of A4 paper in one day and the librarians get really pissed off...

Well at our school we pay $5 INITIALLY as part of our fees to START OFF our $5 print credit.....you are then forced to top off the amount since it costs $$ per page. However, each term, at the beginning of it, they DOUBLE what you had, most people have a minimal amount left, so it doesnt really do much, but smart people lol, would top it off last day of school by like $5-10, and it really counts for next term :P

So if I was at your school and I used up my $5 and the on the last of day of term, I topped off my account by like $50, does that mean next term I get $100 of printing credit?

^ Unless they had a cap on it? I never thoguht of that, since I would never be allowed by my parents to scab $50 off them for printing LMAO, they would be like "buy your own printer with that money"   :P

I reckon thoguh they have some kind of cap, like maximum they would double maybe $10-20?

Pssshhh I printed 95% of my exams at home. Who's going to seriously plan what exam they do and when? Whenever I wanted to do one, I'd just sit on the comp and choose and it'd be printed and ready to do in 3 minutes. This was especially useful during swot vac and the exam period when I just cbf going to school.

I have heard 'swot vac' used my many people, and know its the term related to studying before exams... but what exactly does it stand for...?  ???

Isn't it Studying WithOut Teacher Vacation?

Yeah...

"Study Without Teaching Vacation"

It's a weird acronym... there's certainly nothing 'vacationy' about exam study.

Does it even make sense?

Is it basically saying, we're studying without the presence, of teachers? yes? lol... Its sorta saying: "Studying without the presence of Teachers", yes?

At home! I heart my printer =D

It gets a bit expensive at school, about $2 per practice exam and I generally do a fair few, so it'd be very costly.

I tried that once, it just doesnt feel the same!!!! I don't know why! Saves you a heck of a lot of money, but the FEELING! LOL. I guess with English you could get away with it, since the quesitons are like a couple of words, but Maths, and subjects with lots of writing in the question, I prefer to print.

lol.  Yes, up until you do so many other trial exams on paper and then when you do your next Further Exam 1, you write on your screen...  With a permanent marker.  :P

I didn't/couldn't do that when I was studying for Further. :P I actually physically couldn't do it, 'cause I have to physically draw on the diagrams, and write all over the paper. haha. But thats just me! :D

My school has a program built into a laptops which enables us $50 worth of printing and web browsing a month. Only like 5c or something a page.

However funny thing, when i had my laptop re-imaged the service centre forgot to reinstall this program and i now have unlimited printing monies!!!
Therefore one time i had a spare i just sat down and printed about 250 pages of prac exams lol whilst the teacher just sat there looking at me. hehehe
