Those unions are stupid. Good luck getting support when you're pissing that many people off...

Does that mean we don't get results on 11th (or 10th)?

Like being  a prestigious, and I assume wealthy University, is there really over-crowding? Too many students in a class? But hasn't that been going on for DECADES? i.e. lecture rooms of 100+ people?

Never had trouble getting a seat...anywhere. Although I do the popular 1st year subjects (eg. accounting subjects), they run the lectures like 3-4 times each day (in addition to prompt online recordings), so it's always easy to get seats.

*shrug* might be different in other faculties

I think when they say 'results ban' they mean 'no results for arts students'.  Because really, how often does a science subject not run on a strike day?  I have <never had a class cancelled due to a strike>, but all my arts friends just don't end up going.

This is bullshit. If they want student support they are not going about it the right way. Pathetic really, since the only people who are being punished are the students, the ones who are keeping them in their job in the first place.

Using students as hostages will only isolate them and their cause.

I get the feeling that we are the pawns. Ok these guys may have some issues with what's happening, but these strikes are costing us students a lot. In finance I learn't that if investors don't like how a company is being run, they abandon it and it will lose it's power.

I again want to say that these strikes harm us students a lot. The issues these strikes are about really have little relation to students and it's more just workers having b&$@%es about things and if it doesn't go their way, let's put he'll on the students.

Lol. The whole arts area like hates the Melbourne model, whereas science is really indifferent. Jamison hate to rain on your parade but we choose to do a Melbourne model degree.

This is annoying. RMIT is scheduled for the 30th November, so we'd be waiting a while if this isn't resolved soon.
