yeh tmr or the day after tmr is gonna be the opening of our last preference change. but what shall i choose?

i am 70% sure that i am going to melb uni but still have no idea about what to do..could u pls gimme some suggestions after reading some of my personal descriptions?

here goes: i don't like writing, and wish to have little homework. um and i don't like maths either, but i don't mind basic stuff. er also i wanna have a good job- which means okay $, not boring and not too busy.

um my questions being that is accounting really that boring? and what shall i do with a biomedicine bachelor degree? (yeh i am still hopping between two vastly different fields)

any, any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

If you are still unsure, you can choose to do Science, and maybe pick some science subjects (E.g. Chem), and maybe some commerce subjects as breadth (E.g. Accounting). That way you'll know, what uni subjects are like and make a decision then? You can easily transfer to other courses after first year (provided you meet prereq).

If you don't like study, I suggest that university may not be the place for you.

lol wanting less/little work does not mean that i distaste studying. I actually enjoy unit 3 Chem if you haven't realised :)

I like unimelb very much that's why i am here puzzling about which course to do. As i have said, i don't mind basic maths- as in methods or a bit of spesh standard - but nothing more than that. And i don't like to write long essay and reports- that's why i did consider doing Accounting, however, a career of accounting might get repetitive and i am afraid that i might not tolerate it in the long run.

So i am here seeking for advice about which course i shall do in Uni.:)

Thanks Edmund!  i might try out your suggestion!

Hey
Omg, i m in the same situation as you!
Your right about accounting though, my teacher was an accountant but couldn't tolerate it anymore as it wasn't challenging and very repititive, therefore he decided to teach.
I want to do biomedicine but not sure if im gonna get in and if there would be a job in it in the end persuming i don't get into medicine
I just want to get into a course knowing for certain in the end the i would be a laywer, doctor, pharmacist ect...
Not going through the worry pressure of transfering adn so on
VCE Year 11 08'
Religion and society: 40

VCE Year 12 09'
English
Buisness Management
Biology
Chemistry
Maths Methods

Hoping for a 95+

and wish to have little homework
... but you want to do a masters?!

I can't think of much that doesn't have much homework. Perhaps an arts degree specialising in languages only - that doesn't involve much writing, nor a lot of maths. But will involve a fair bit of study if you want to pass, unless you are a natural at languages.

um yeah chem! i did consider doing science but my parents always teases me -"scientist"- which sounds quite vague and a bit "silly" on me, well, it just feels wiered.

Prac reports involve a LOT of writing...

Correct me if I'm wrong but a science degree won't usually lead to a job with good $?

Accounting is very boring for some people and very fascinating for others. Depends on the person.

Biomedicine - you could go on to do medicine (but you will get the opposite of "little homework")... be a researcher... none of those options involve little work.

What do you like doing? Like, in your spare time?

The course I want to do- the work that is set for me, I won't see it as work so much because I genuinely enjoy it.

i like food, shopping, watching TV and flip through some novels :)

i really enjoy chem but as Ninwa said it doesn't lead to high $... and i don't get why people don't recommend biomed  :(

Don't forget about chem based on one person's opinion. Why wouldnt you be able to make a lot of money with a major in chemistry? What about chemical engineering? Highest paid engineers in australia if your willing to do some maths.
