Start now! The earlier you start, the less stress you have next year.

After you've had a sufficient break from writing year 12 and year 11 exams. When you feel as though you've regained motivation. You'll get sick of it very quickly if you force yourself to do the work. I personally found that if I started early, the work was unending as the extra time I had at the end was spent studying too. So, I usually started later - but I did nothing for year 12 in the Summer, only in year 11 did I work through the summer, and that too, I began mid December.

Everyone is different. Try it out, if you don't feel like you're bored to death/completely forcing yourself after the first day, then keep on going. If you are, maybe just start by doing a very little amount and slowly increasing or just give yourself some time before going on a studying frenzy ;D

Just do it.

Talking about your plans to do it subconsciously satisfies your urge to actually go and do it apparently.

Agree. Don't study overseas. I was a freak and took all my books overseas last year - waste of time, did not touch them - they just added to my luggage weight. So, despite having the best of intentions, it does get hard to study when you're on holiday.

I am planning to only bring my English texts on holiday. Also you should start with some work you will enjoy, no point forcing yourself this early.

I agree, my tecahers gave me homework worth 4 weeks. I did them/CRAMMED 2 DAYS BEFORE I LEFT on a month long holiday. My mum wouldnt let me take homework LMAO. The following quotes are from her

1= "We're not paying $1800 for you to do homework
2= "you're already smart"
3= "im not wasting potential luggage space for homework"
