What? Do they? o.O

I think it's published a couple of days after results... from memory it was on the Wednesday last year (17th). Results were released on the 15th

Yeah they do.  That's how the contact a few 99.95'ers and ask them if they want to be in the paper.

As for the OP, the list is usually published either the next day or two days after results day.  It's either before or after they release the list of how each school went.

So if you don't get contacted you might not have gotten 99.95

Not necessarily, you might get contacted just because they want to publish a generic story on a random year 12.  You know, like how they are going, what they plan to do next year, how they feel about the up-coming results day, etc.

lol.  I don't think newspapers have a choice.  If they're going to publish 40+ scores and school statistics, they're going to have to interview a year 12, just for completeness I think.

It's quite disturbing how many Asian families look up VCE results for people they know despite having kids out of VCE for a long time. I don't know why the school advises that we sign for having our name in the paper.
Raw Scores:
Psychology 50 | Mathematical Methods 49 | Further Mathematics 49 | Accounting 49 | Chemistry 44 | English 43

Really?  That is disturbing...  But what if you did get 40+ for a subject and didn't sign the paper and give VTAC permission to pass your name to the media?

I remember my school giving me the freedom of signing it but they didn't force us or advise us.

Yeah, we were told 'no force' but that it was 'recommended' so that's why most of us signed.
