I heard, that last year, some students were able to access some sort of portal/database off Melbourne Uni's website, which gained them access to their ENTER/Results on Sunday (the day before the actual release of results), is this true? anybody know? :o

The VCAA results site would be ready to go right now.  Someone who knows how to hack things could probably gain access........and then share how they did it with the rest of us.   ;)

Would that be illegal?

Oh, and also, does VCAA ban every IP address possible? Or do they just ban IP addresses of people living in victoria or australia?

They just exclude everyone but the IP's they know. Just tried getting in with a US based IP and it didn't work.

Probably is illegal, but in all seriousness, what are they going to do.  Someone got there results a few days early, who cares.

As for the I.P. address thing, I would say they block ALL I.P. addresses except for a very select few VCAA staff who are very high up.  That having been said, I guess the I.T. people would also have access to the site, so it wouldn't be impossible.

That's exactly what I thought last year when I heard last year's year 12 complaining about the same thing.  But now that I'm in year 12, I know why it will kill us...
