Monash Scholarship Award!

Oh yea. For those of you who are disappointed for not getting a scholarship that the monash site says has been 'offered' since monday, there is hope! My friend just got offered a scholarship that was supposedly already finished this morning.

Yeah, I too just received an sms about a "Bachelor of Science Advanced with Honours Scholarship". Unfortuanately I want to do engineering, so I won't be accepting this scholarship.

hi, just a general question, with the Monash Academic Merit Scholarship, it says that the student needs to get equal to or higher than 95.00? But surely not everyone over 95 going to Monash gets this scholarship, so what score honestly would be the cutoff to get this? Are there any other pre reqs to get this?

the cut off, as it says, is 95, but of course its not only depend on ur score, i got 99.15 with seas but still havent got any scholarship offer. so as long as u got over 95, u will have the chance
EDIT: i think it will be above 99.50, its only base on enter, no. of scholarship is depend on founding(wont be much i think) and it is award to top scorer

if u chose Science/Engineering at Monash next yr cant u accept the "Bachelor of Science Advanced with Honours Scholarship" while u doing the double degree? or it only for a course call science advance with honours(just guessing)?

My friend got offered the Science Advanced with Honours Scholarship last night. It seems all these offers will continue on for a while. (Still waiting on my offer =(

did u actually get the scholarship offer? let me know if u do, im pretty sure 99.05 is not good enough for scholarship for excellent this yr.

lol nah i didn't get one, was enquiring for a friend. and yeh i guess 99.05 is just like your 99.15, it ain't good enough for that~

just wondering, to apply for the monash scholarships was it just through VTAC.
I haven't received a scholarship but have heard of people with enters more than 2 points lower than mine that have. Are the scholarships purely based on enter

The Scholarships are based on a range of factors. Some are faculty specific, hence you must have applied for specific courses to have been considered. Others are circumstantial equity scholarships, based on hardships that may have affected your performance. For any of the majority of scholarships you would have needed to lodge a scholarship application through VTAC to have been considered, others such as the Melbourne ACCESS scholarships require the addition of an SEAS application. The scholarships are not solely based on the ENTER. I know of people who got 95.05 who received scholarships while another friend of mine on 99.75 did not receive any offers. Hope that helps.

The SEAS applications also come into consideration. Somebody who qualifies for 3 categories with a 97 may be offered a scholarship before somebody with 1 category and a 99. It depends on the weighting of the scholarship between score and other factors.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I noticed that some of you guys got the 'Excellence and Equity' scholarship, and I'm just hoping you can give me an idea of the ATAR/TER needed to get one. I know the site says the cutoff is 95, but do people actually get them with ATARs that low?

Just wondering, if they are unable to contact you, would they email the scholarship details to your email, or would u actually forfeit the Scholarship, cause Im going on holidays and won't have access to telephones/internet for a week or so -.-
