The thing is, I don't go INTO the GAT,and just not try, I do take it seriously in that I don't write "george clooney", or rubbish, or circle random multiple choice.

With me, I just don't care if I do poor in it.....like I walked out of the GAT and was like "meh".

I did so badly on the GAT, it's quite funny to correlate my actual study scores with my GAT scores. It shows that the GAT isn't even used in calculating study scores :P
Raw Scores:
Psychology 50 | Mathematical Methods 49 | Further Mathematics 49 | Accounting 49 | Chemistry 44 | English 43
ATAR: 99.75

I've done better on my GAT than on my actual study both this year, and last year when I was in year 10.
This year I got
Written communication: 44
Humanities: 45
Maths/science: 42

My scores stayed really similar for the multi choice questions, but my written communication went up by 3 points which I'm happy with, as it shows I'm improving :)
Also, I put sexual jokes in my bee essay, so I was very surprised that I didn't do badly. I didn't do any subjects this year that required the written communications section, so I didn't really care about it

OMG.

EXACT SAME TO ME!

Last year I wrote it like an ESSAY, detailed words, great points etc and did WORSE than this year. This year I seriously just wrote "the queen bee is the boss of the hive, she has the role of breeding. The worker bees work for her" It was like grade 6 writing....

It really annoys me, stupid GAT and any other aptitude tests, grrr.

It sucks. Last year I was like "wow I did so good in the GAT""= bad mark
This year= "Argh, what I wrote was rubbish, I'm going to do bad" = better mark.

And my instincts in terms of marks etc don't tend to be too wrong.

For my subject study scores I guessed correctly my Physics, Methods and Specialist ones, was one off for English and two off for Japanese haha :P

Oh, as for the GAT:
Written: 36
Maths: 38
Humanities: 36
When I get sad, I stop being sad, and be AWESOME instead. True story.

Just got my results today:

Written: 30
Maths: 42
Humanities: 41

Will have to try harder this year; apparently monash takes these results into account now...

Well I wrote about George Clooney and got a 43 for written communication :P

I got 41 for both mc choice sections. I'm kind of annoyed with my scores becase if it was accurate it would mean I got my stdy scores through hard work and not because I really have great aptitude. I'm going to try in this year's GAT, and not leave 45 minutes early, just to get an idea of what I'm capable of.
