"GA" stands for "Graded Assessment".  In most cases, GA1 should be the SACs, GA2 is the first exam and GA3 is the second exam.  However, if they study has only one exam than GA1 will be the Unit 3 SACs, GA2 will be the Unit 4 SACs and GA3 will be the exam.

opposite way around, GA1 first exam, GA2 SACs and GA3 second exam

I know that's the case for Chem.  But for subjects such as Further, I'm pretty sure GA1 is Unit 3+4 SACs, GA2 is exam 1 and GA3 is exam 2.

It's exactly like that. The GAs are in order in which the assessments were completed. GA1 is unit 3 sacs because it is completed before Unit 4 sacs.

For sciences, the midyear exam is completed before the SACs are therefore it is GA1.

For maths the exams are done after sacs hence GA2 and GA3.

In all cases GA3 is always an exam

You can check your subject here:

It tells you exactly what each assessment represents.
