It's not so much "I cannot concentrate"

But I cannot concentrate.

:2funny:

But seriously the problem is retention, I understand what I read, but by the time I get to the next line/paragraph I have forgotten it already :buck2:

omg....wow thats so weird, I had my iPod ear phones plugged in as I was writing that =S

You said you can forget without music, so music doesn't affect you because you are used to forgetting. Women perceive themselves as better at 'multitasking' because they don't realise that men only complain about 'multitasking' because they don't forget normally. :P

This is quite sexist, everyone this is said in jest.
hahahah or maybe men just cant multitask and therefore they complain?
......you are confusing me >_> lol maybe this is due to my shit english skills tho  :buck2:

I thought women are better at English than men?

More sexism, again not serious.

Theory, questions, anything: music is always playing. I play better chess when I play a song I particularly like, don't know why though.  ;D

The collage of ideas. The music of reason. The poetry of thought. The canvas of logic.

haha i havent heard that one before!! and why is that? because we are seen to be more creative than men? all the well known artists are mainly men (well the ones i know of) so that backfires :P
when it comes to the way women and men think, i dont think any generalisation that can be made as everyone is individual
during this year my lit teacher told me i think in squares/boxes.. like a guy... so yeah maybe i was meant to be born as a male hahah nah
im just saying that even my teacher made these generalisations!
i dont know if this is what you were referring to but yeah :P

I was just generalising - men are more math/science and women are more artsy - not serious at all. Everyone is unique.

The issue whether the use of music while studying is good or not is inconclusive despite of so many and researches about the effect of music while people are studying.

apparently baroque music (classical) is meant to improve your concentration and therefore improve the results of your studying.....

This can be 'proved' with the VCE graded distributions. Take a look at say English and Maths.
