Mmm, how big are the classes and how many people per class would care about doing well?
Classes are normal compared to school early on, roughly 20-25 students. Then give it a couple of weeks, and watch them drop out like flies. By end of year, it can be anywhere between 5 and 15.
Year 11 was a disgrace at RMIT. No one ever rocked up to class, and everyone seemed to have this, "I will just try next year attitude." Main priority for most students was organizing "break" with the teacher so they could all go for a "smoko."
I've been told year 12 is better though, and luckily I do subjects that students who don't care wont even go near.

Also, I left school for a number of reasons. I didn't really like a lot of the people for starters, and as mentioned previously, I couldn't stand the strict uniform policy. I mean seriously, how does how I wear my hair or tie affect my education?
I also didn't really get the subjects I wanted, and it was the schools policy to make year 12 students undertake a minimum of 30 hours co-curriculum, and also Religious Education was compulsory. Another thing which I really hated about my school was that they always favoured students who were involved in house activities such as performing arts and sports, as opposed to those who proffered to gear their time strictly towards their education.
