Pretty sure it would assume no knowledge (as long as you can use the basics in word/excel etc)
Ever tried. Ever Failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better

It has no IT pre-requisite's but they might assume you to know how to use basic programs such as word processing, excel, access etc. You only need english and methods/spec

I believe unlike Computer Science and Software engineering there are no Maths for computing units involved. I believe it's easier to get IBL if you do the single degree (where most? get the scholarship) as opposed to the double degree.

My PM from Excal

"I think the information on the website is old. It really depends on how many people apply and the numbers have been reducing due to the aftershocks of recent recessions. But yeah, around 20-30 people are given places.

The shortfall in students in the course who have IBL scholarships and the total in course is due to international students not eligible to have a scholarship.

Students studying a double degree, who want to do an IBL placement, need to fill in an expression of interest towards the end of their first year - they can do one placement. Part of that application process will include an interview. Students applying to the IBL stream of the BBIS single degree course do a group assessment at the end of Year 12 (or end of first year) and do two placements."

I intend to this degree =]

I didn't do it either lol, it's only for those doing the single degree. According to my email from the Monash IT Faculty, for the double degree interviews are conducted at the end of second year

Email from Monash staff

"If you apply for the double degree (BCommerce/BBIS), you will not need to put in an expression of interest until the end of your first year, or even your second year of study as double degree students don't do the IBL placement until their 3rd year of study."

can anybody tell me what you actually do in this? I am good with computers and know a lot about them, but I wasn't really interested in doing IT in VCE. What sort of job prospects are there?
thanks

Ok  2 questions
a) With the business anaylist, do you mean deciding things on the business side of things (where the business shud be headed for example) or do you mean the IT side of things (what software to use?)
b)With jobs related to commerce, I heard a rumour that Monash will be starting an Actuarial Studies Course so would I be able to get qualifications in that aswell?

Sorry if I'm sounding dumb, just need a bit of clarification haha
