I believe unlike Computer Science and Software engineering there are no Maths for computing units involved. I believe it's easier to get IBL if you do the single degree (where most? get the scholarship) as opposed to the double degree.
My PM from Excal
"I think the information on the website is old. It really depends on how many people apply and the numbers have been reducing due to the aftershocks of recent recessions. But yeah, around 20-30 people are given places.
The shortfall in students in the course who have IBL scholarships and the total in course is due to international students not eligible to have a scholarship.
Students studying a double degree, who want to do an IBL placement, need to fill in an expression of interest towards the end of their first year - they can do one placement. Part of that application process will include an interview. Students applying to the IBL stream of the BBIS single degree course do a group assessment at the end of Year 12 (or end of first year) and do two placements."
I intend to this degree =]
